Refuse to speak Afrikaans

We ordered food and drinks and whilst waiting for this we inquired about other items on the menu. The same waiter then blatanly refused to serve us in Afrikaans. I called for the manager. a Young, very arrogant and sarcastic lady arrived and upon listening to my request told me she is sorry the restaurant disappointed us and we should have a nice day. We then decided to leave. In our company was my 81 year old dad and 76 year old mother. What a huge embarresment as we also specially drove to visit this complex. Why should we as the public tolerate this behaviour?
