Is KFC trying to rob me?

Why is it that whenever I go to KFC and order a large chips with my meal, they only give me a medium chips, even thought I've already paid for the large. I trust KFC to check what they are doing before handing my meal over to me - I don't feel that I should check that they are doing their job correctly! This has happened more that 10 times in the past and is absolutely ridiculous.
