Pepper Tree Restaurant / Highgate Ostrich Farm

Whilst in the beautiful Cape over December my family and I paid a visit to the Highgate Ostrich Show Farm. What a treat!!! The visit included a tour detailing every aspect of the ostrich farming industry and we all learned a lot about this fascinating bird. We ended our visit with lunch at the Pepper Tree Restaurant where our host Nellie-Enid Burger welcomed us. The restaurant is situated in the refurbished farm house and radiates a warm inviting atmosphere. I tried an ostrich steak and was not disappointed. I would highly recommend a visit to Highgate and especially the Pepper Tree restaurant. Nellie - thank you for a most enjoyable dining experience.
