How to spoil a birthday

We celebrated my mom's 65th birthday on 11/12/2013 at a restaurant in Eastgate. 2 days before, I ordered 2x Ganache chocolate cakes from The Bread Basket Eastgate (from Dimitri), for the occasion. I was informed that they close shop at 18:00, but would deliver the cakes directly to the restaurant. I promptly paid the R290 for the cakes. On arrival at the restaurant, it quickly became apparent that the cakes were in fact not delivered. Upon query the following day, the response was that "they forgot". Not delivering the cakes spoiled the whole evening, which was supposed to have been a memorable birthday celebration.
