Fantastic

I was in Dullstroom over the 22nd to the 27th of January 2013. Being a chef I tried to eat at as many venues as possible. We always try to get ideas of what other chefs are doing.

We went from pancakes to Rumps @ R200 each. Then on the last night we went to a Bistro called Pickles & Things. They have a basic menu, roast their own Coffee beans for sale and have a deli too.

The young chef, CW had a local speciality, Trout, on the menu. It was a whole trout stuffed with some caramalized onions, tomatoe and haloumi. It was not over worked and the real taste of the fresh fish came through magnificently. This for R84.

Then the Chocolate Cake. Heaven on a plate and a lot of it too.

I would just like to encourage ANYONE in the area to try this establishment. Fantastic, well priced food with a respect for the product.
