Doppio Zero
Let down by out favourite!

My wife and I work on weekends, and fortunately we work together, but often when we knock off around 7.30pm its never even a question about where to go for dinner, we always come to Doppio. We love the atmosphere, the food, its so close to home and most of all the service has always been amazing.
Last week Sunday however we were let down. We arrived just before 8.30 on a Sunday night and upon arrival, for the first time ever I might add, were not greeted at the door by the staff. There was some activity at a table just outside the entrance, it looked like a cash up of sorts, but alas we flagged down a passing waiter and asked for a table. He reluctantly agreed but said to us we couldn't really order food. Surprised, I asked what time the kitchen closes to which he replied '9pm, but they have started packing things away already so it would be difficult to order anything', so we ended up leaving, not wanting to cause a hassle.
We were really disappointed and felt very let down by a restaurant that we love so much. We will still be back, and this one incident won't affect how we see Doppio, but it was just disappointing and I wanted to bring it to your attention.
