THIS IS THE PLACE IN THE V&A WATERFRONT TO SKIP

As the Steenberg Branch (who is tops in service & food) is closed for refurbishment, we went to the V&A Waterfront branch. Only 5 tables were occupied of between 2 & 4 people each. We ordered coffees and cooldrink straight away (which took about 15 minutes to arrive). We also immediately ordered 2 eggs and 2 slices of toast for my daughter (which took about 25 minutes to arrive). The breakfast buffet was dismal. Minimum amount of dry scambled eggs, eggy bread, tomatoes, little sausages, a small amount of mince & chicken livers and some totally overcooked baby potatoes and baked beans. A few "old and really hard" croissants, which was not topped up once finished, some cereal and yoghurt, small amount of grated cheese and bread. We have had the breakfast buffet at Steenberg Branch many times and the different foods available for breakfast at Steenberg far exceeded the quality and quantity at V&A. Not once were our dirty plates removed and whe eventually shifted them to an open table. When asking our waiter how many tables she had, she replied only our one, but she has been busy with our food and drinks order and that is why she could not manage everything. Tourist beware, avoid!!!
