Breach of Contract

I booked villa maria for a wedding for next year 2014. When i spoke to one of the owners she said that the venue hire is R4000 due to the fact that it will be on a thursday. When i wanted to make the booking they said its R6000 due to the fact that the next day is a public holiday. I accepted and paid the R2000 deposit. A month later i paid the rest R5000 (R1000) for the manor house as well. They didnt want to do a a la carte menu but at the end agreed to do it. the also wanted to charge me for canepes if i get someone to do it since they do not offer that service. Last week they said that all my guests had to go through my reception to get to the ceremony. i was extremely upset since any one would know that you want to keep that part a suprise. i asked if there is any other way and they said no. yesterday i told them that i want to cancel my contract and today they replied and told me over the phone they will not be paying back my deposit NOR the R5000 extra. i understand if they keep the deposit but not the rest of my money. I told them i will take this further and i WILL get my lawyer involved. If you ask my opinion i would not suggest this place for any event or even to eat.
