What a joke South African Burger King. Are you a fast food joint or not?
I regularly eat at Burger King in Germany and London where the wait for food has never been longer than 5 minutes after placing the order, though the norm is about 2 minutes.
On Saturday I took my family to the Cavendish branch, and even though it took only 3 minutes to get to the counter to place the order, it took another 30 minutes to get the food. A wait that seems to be excused by the staff (whose unsmiling unfriendly attitude was a standout feature of the place) by pointing out that the drinks are bottomless. If I wanted to fill up on Pepsi I'd go to the corner cafe.
While my wife waited for the two meals from BK I went to Fish Aways and Steers and placed orders for the kids. Steers - 2 minutes to deliver a cheeseburger meal, Fish Aways - 4 minutes to deliver Hake and Chips. That's fast food!
Have BK intentionally employed people with no work ethic or skills? You'd think after being open for a couple of weeks they'd know what they're doing by now. Judging from the flurry of negative comments about them on this forum this bad service is uniform throughout the chain. What a pathetic indictment.
