Jam And Daisies
GOOD FOOD, BAD SERVICE

I took my daughter for lunch at Jam & Daisies in New Muckleneuk this afternoon. The food has been excellent as always and the venue is beautiful. However, I refused to pay a tip:
1. No-one came to ask us once if we needed anything or if everything was all right.
2. I battled to get anyone's attention in order to place orders or enquire about the progress on our orders
3. The coffee was cold by the time we got the cake, which has been waiting on a counter while drying out.
4. I told the manager the reason for not paying a tip and she wanted to know who our waitress was. I had no
idea since it looked like most of the staff had been at our table at some stage; I tried to get the attention of
anyone in the vicinity!
5. I also told her that even though it is close to closing time, while there are people in the shop, they should be alert and SERVE their "income"
What should have been a relaxing afternoon and should have taken no more than an hour (all the time we had), eventually took 2 hours. Should a business like that close down, the "bad economy" will surely be blamed - meanwhile, it is bad service!
