Poor Service at Coffee Shop

We went to the coffee shop, when we sat down we told the male waiter we would be about 2 hours and having coffee. He said it was no problem. We were expecting people to join us so we put 2 tables together, but the friends did not arrive. When we arrived the coffee shop was empty.

After 1.5 hours a female waitress asked us how long we were going to be sitting there, was it going to be all day. We said no, some tea had just been delivered to our table and 2 teacups were full, we said we would be another half an hour. We asked "was there a problem? " She said they were her tables. She said she wasnt telling us to leave but really she was, she wanted her tables free so she could serve other customers.

So we paid and left. Our male waiter seemed surprised that we were leaving and asked if everything was ok, Im not sure if he was aware the other waitress had been so rude.

When I looked back there were at least 6 other empty tables in the coffee shop plus the big long table in the middle. There was no reason to chase us away, but she has and I will not be returning to that coffee shop again.

Woolworths please train your coffee shop staff so they dont ruin your excellent reputation
