Ocean Basket
Bad quality fish!!!

On Friday the 05th of July my Mom and I decided to treat ourselves to a dinner at Ocean Basket Blu Valley. The restaurant was very busy and we landed up waiting over an hour for our order (grilled fish & prawns and platter for one) to arrive. Very few of the actual patrons received their orders on time as there seemed to be alot more orders going for takeaways. Firstly, I would suggest that maybe the restaurant would consider having a specific time where takeaways can be ordered so that it doesn't inflict with the actual guests seated in the restaurant. Warming the bread in a microwave in full view of the patrons is rather bad and I always thought that our bread was freshly baked. My main complaint is the bad quality of the food received (we have been eating at Ocean Basket for many years) and have never encountered such bad food. The fish was dry and small and looked like it had been defrosted and cooked and then put on our plates. The food was cold. We spoke to the manager and he advised that it's the type of fish they serve. Hake is not a skinny cut of fish and is rather superior to what we had on our plate. We will not go back to that branch!!!
