It seems Nandos is taking its customers for granted and for a ride. This evening, while I was about 5 minutes away, I telephoned my order through to the Milnerton store. I had been previously disappointed by this same store, so I especially requested that my order be freshly prepared. I did not want any chicken or chips that had been on the grill for any length of time. Although I spelt this out, when I got to the counter, they were already packing my order in a paper bag. I noticed that the chips were burnt and requested a fresh batch.

I then asked to see the manager. Who should appear but Patience who took my order and should have known better.

When I got home and unpacked what was supposed to be my family's supper, we found the chicken far from satisfactory. It was cold, burnt and unappetising. I phoned Nandos Customer Care only to be dealt with by a Bali Magazi, who, I feel, is quite incapable of handling a customer's legitimate complaint. She was totally disinterested and told me the turnaround time for my complaint was 24 to 48 hours! In the meantime, I must not eat the chicken! No apology for the inconvenience! No empathy! What a lark!
