Tony's Seafood and Grill
Lovely experience

My family and I went to Tony's for the first time today as a birthday dinner. Had our doubts about the restaurant as it's next to fast food outlets, but from previous experience (buying from those fast food outlets) we knew the restaurant was fairly popular. they serve Portuguese chicken and seafood. WOW! - what a pleasant change from normal restaurant food! The calamari was moist and lightly spiced... The chicken (both lemon and Portuguese) was char grilled with a strong flavour (no sissy flavours from Tony's!)... The sauces are INSANE - sooo yummy! The staff work together and helps everyone (they jointly share in all the tips) and were constantly ready to help, although they were busy busy busy - everything happened fast and without any fuss! They aren't cheap per se (1/2 chicken & calamari & side = R90), but quality! You DON'T walk out feeling slightly sick due to oil and old ingredients. The restaurant is small (perhaps 15 tables) and booking is essential on busy nights (like tonight) (people were queueing outside) (that's how good the food is!)... Cannot say enough about Tony's! What a ridiculously Pleasant experience.
