Credit card application failed without valid reason

I was applying for a fnb credit card, as it is much more reliable and secure to pay my studies at unisa with. I have met the requiered salary mark, and I have account open on my name, 1 of which I was paying RCS off last year, and the other one is Edgars, which is still active. When I asked why my application was denied, I got an answer, something to do with the countries crediet etc. I do not understand, as I am a loyal payer of my accounts, and never have been in bad debt, or blacklisted.
