Reckless lending/unwilling to reduce repayment amt

In Oct 2012 I applied for a 1 month loan with Capitec in Eloff str requesting R4000, however the consultant told me I could get more if I apply for a normal loan & pay within a few months. It was tempting as I would get more cash, I was temping at the time on a 6 month fixed contract till Jan 2013, holding for staff on maternity leave. I then applied for it as advised by the consultant & received R35k with a repayment of R2500 over 18 months. I paid by debit order every mth till Feb because I was no longer working. I found a temp job now with less pay and fell behind with my repayments since I had no salary and now I cannot afford to pay the original instalment amt. I visited the Northam branch on 11th Apr to make payment arrangements but was told I cant reduce the instalment until I settle the arrears. My salary has dropped & expenses increased I cant afford to that amount. They knew my contract was ending in Jan & still gave me a long term so how come they cant help me in settling this loan instead of making me sink into more arrears? All I want is for someone to assist me in this & in future dont force/advice clients into taking more, even the court will deem this as reckless lending.
