I cancelled my Standard Bank current account a few years ago and recently Discovery Health transferred money into this cancelled account. My fault for not updating the details.
The problem is that Standard Bank had already allocated that exact number to a new customer! Surely the Banks have an standard period of time in which they may not use used account numbers?

I now have to undergo a timely process of getting my money back at my cost!
