First National Bank
Disappointed and misled

Business & Finance

To whom it may concern
I recently made a cash deposit, as I do from time-to-time, and when I was online doing online payments, I realised that there was a fee deducted from my account for the deposit. Fine, it's not enough to buy so much as a coca-cola these days, but it's the prinicple. Why now suddenly?
I contacted the call centre only to be told that the reason I was charged was because FNB is trying to promote a paper-free environment.
So what must I do if someone pays me cash? Refuse it to avoid the charge when I deposit to my account? Why should I be penalised for utilising this service as I pay for every month? And then to avoid the ridiculous charge, should I just avoid using my account?
Would be great to know how FNB can help me...
