No answer when phoning call centre

On 15 April I logged a complaint the Absa website about the General Enquiries call centre 0860008600 where nobody answer the phone after 10minutes. An agent phoned me this morning to tell me that my complaint has been resolved for they are experiencing technical issues with the conversion from Telkom to Neotel.

I phoned the General Enquiries call centre at 11:35 this morning and after 5 minutes nobody answered.

I then phoned the Absa Action Line on 0800414141 at 11:40 to inform them of my original complaint and that it is not resolved. The agent requested a reference number and I tried to quote all the numbers on the email notification received when I originally logged my complaint but she said that none of them will work. She then asked me to hold and after 6 minutes she did not come back to be, so I put done the phone.

The Absa contact centre service has been dreadful and I would suggest that Absa learn some lessons from Discovery who have been a great example related to excellent contact centre servicing.
