I was denied roadside assistance when i needed it

I have been a Miway client for the past 3 years and have never claimed. yesterday i was stuck on the N1 freeway with a flat tyre and called Miway for assistance. i was told that my policy is not valid anymore and that means i cannot receive assistance. the guy told me that i will be liable for the call-out and will sms details of the person to come and assist me. that sms never came. hours later, the police assisted me and i called Miway to cancel the call and that was it. meaning that if i had not received help elsewhere, i would have been stranded the whole day with a small child. i pay my policy by debit order on time all these years and the one time i really needed them to help me, they failed me.
