Standard Bank
Illegal transaction on my credit card

Business & Finance

I purchased a tick from 1time Airlines using my Standard Bank Credit Card on 15 June 2013 for the amount of R1538 for a flight on 21 December 2012.

Due to 1time liquidating and not being able to use the flight in December 2012, I submitted a dispute form to Standard Bank on 19 December 2013 and was refunded this amount in March 2013. The refund was made 3 months later after numerous calls to the call centre even though the policy states 21 working days.

On the 10 April 2013, I received an sms notification that 1time has deducted R1538 again from my Standard Bank Credit Card however I have not purchased a ticket from 1time after June 2013 and they have liquidated so how can this be legal.

How is it possible that Standard Bank allows transactions to go through that have not been authorised by myself as well as transaction taking place from a company that is not in existence anymore.

I contacted the Standard Bank Call Centre and they have advised me to complete and submit another dispute form which I have done. It took 3 months to resolve this the last time and I'm extremely frustrated now and will be cancelling my credit card once this money has been reimbursed.
