Linking of garage card to Credit card

Apparently Standard bank changed the policy on stand alone Garage cards and insist now that the garage card is linked to a cedit card. Without notification they transferred a balance from my garage card on 27th December and then another on 16th January but when I request a statement for transactions up to Januray 2013 it seems an impossible request.
I have spent 2 hours on the phone in the last 2 days and have been promised return phone calls that just haven't happened.
I am VERY uncomfortable when my bank starts moving MY money (I had a credit balance on my garage card) around without my authority and then cannot show me the transactions reflecting what has taken place. I've made a large eft transfer into the card on 15th December and have purchased petrol and all these transactions have "disappeared" to all intents and purposes. Seriously - by whose authority do the bank do this!
