Charging Annual fees when it's already included

I've been charged an annual card fee even though I pay a fixed monthly service fee for the Elite package.

Their reason for doing it is given as "your card is not bundled with the cheque account". This is a blatant because I had exactly the same problem last year and had to go through exactly the same rigmarole to get the fee reversed.
This is fee-charging "mistake" is deliberate - considering that there's probably 1 million card holders and all of them being charged R286 gives them a R286 000 000 free cashflow for however long it takes for the customer to wake up to this charge.
Once you've contacted them and they've confirmed that the charge needs to be reversed, the tactic is to say that they need to speak to the supervisor and leave you dangling on the phone until you hang up in frustration.

They should realise that there are other banks and credit card suppliers out there who will willingly take over my business. I already have a Capitec account, it just needs the debit order to be transferred - and Capitec is only to willing to help with that. So is first national bank.

These are stupidly throwing away their customers.!
