I used the ATM at Randpark Ridge to withdraw R3000 in 2 transactions using a card from different bank with the intention of depositing it into my FNB account from which I wanted to do a moneygram. I got the money, did not count it and tried to deposit into my FNB account but was unable to do so because the ATMs were not taking cash deposits. The staff suggested I deposit the money at the tills however it was month end and the queues were winding and very long and they wld not wave the charges. After an altercation with one of the staff I left the branch and went to Northgate branch where I went to do the deposit and realised that the money was R50 short. I had no other money on me and I had put the money straight into my purse so I did not at any point drop the money or loose the money. a query was sent from Northgate to Randpark. Today I have been told that their ATM balanced and there was no recouse for me except to go through to the banking ombudsman. I asked that they send me the form since I am unable to get to the branch any time soon. I was told this was not possible. Now it is costing me money to get this sorted. I am sure Steve has an solution. HELP
