Debit orders get reversed automatically

On the 7th of April my account was debited R1050, i was in overdraft but 5 minutes after that i transferred R1100 into my account to clear the O/D but this morning on the 8th they reversed the transaction, what is the point of an overdraft? Are you becoming like std bank now, they always slow and behind with this kind of stuff...
I have been at FNB a long time, i dont expect this to happen from them.
