What shock and horror to be telephoned by one of Anthony Richards & Associates 'ladies' - who are all known as 'Mrs... so & so, on behalf of Standard Bank who had 'handed over' my sister's current account to them for collection. She is overseas - a fact well known to SB - & I have POA on the account. This WITHOUT any notification whatsoever to her or me of their intention. Over the last month I have had numerous telephone calls with ARA, written to them, documented facts, visited SB etc., with not ONE WORD yet in reply from SB or ARA. The only response from Managers Dept at SB Durban North has been - after 12 years of a small overdraft with no problems and a blemish free credit record - you must make monthly payments on an O/D. And this, after the total deposited to the account over 3 months, was the same as the amount drawn! What is a small O/D for if not to see you thru a thin month of commission etc.
Apart from the disgusting behaviour in this matter, WHAT are Standard Bank doing using what I would term as a SCHLOCK outfit in ARA who are not listed on any Credit Burea lists in ZA??
