My mum lost her bank card on the 31st December 2012 and reported this matter to her branch (Tongaat), on of the staff member Sandile, issued her a new card and promised that the older card has been blocked.

But she has been having different amounts of money getting withdrawn from her account, more than R7000 to date. She has reported the matter to her bank but the don't seem to be helpful and they are covering for each other. The older card was not suspended or closed. She's a pensioner, she's having her debit orders declined for important thing like medical aid and other important policies. And we speak her account is sitting on -R1500 or more

In the past 3 weeks they said they have referred the matter to Standard Bank department but when we call the department they say they don't know anything about this!
She returned and requested to speak to the manager but she was denied access to speak to the bank manager.

Is this how Standards bank treat their loyal customers?
