I Mrs D Moodley would like to inform the public of the unprofessionalism and unethical conduct of this company One Life Direct to who seem to only seek out their own interest and not to benefit the client whatsoever.. My late husband had taken up a life cover with One Life Direct to which ran for almost three years. This policy was death cover to which the beneficiary was to be paid an amount of R250000 in the event of death. On the 23rd Of November 2012 my husband passed on due to natural causes. A few days later I had contacted One Life bringing to their attention the passing on of Mr Moodley and was told to send through all necessary documents to which I adhered to.
The claim was in process for a while (approx. 3 months) to which I would presume is the usual process.
On the 7th of March 2013 I received a payment of R199400 transferred into my account which to my knowledge is almost R50000 lower that the amount this policy was signed up for.
When queried the shortages paid I was advised that the reason for this was due to my husband being hospitalized before the cover had been taken which to my knowledge was not mentioned on the engagement of this policy neither is there any indi
