Still waiting

I got approved for a blue credit card on the morning of Tuesday 19th March 2013. I got my credit card and signed all the paperwork. They told me it will take 24 hours. So when I still did not hear from African Bank on Wednesday 20th March 2013, I gave them a call. Nobody phoned my work for a conformation of employment. I then phoned the card helpline, and they said I must take my payslip with a company stamp to the Brooklyn branch. So I did. (I would have liked it if they told me this the day before) Now I still dont know what is going on? I have the card but can not use it??? Its been much longer than 24 hours.
