I moved my business banking account to FNB but have just been having problems with them since the account was opened.
As a start up entrepreneur, a lot of my business is done on a cash basis. Each time I pay in a cheque, I ask for special clearance. I have to pay a fee of R75 each time. A cheque was deposited on Thursday and special clearance was requested but still not cleared. I depend on the income received to proceed with other jobs. I have spent so much money phoning the business call centre and when I spoke to one yesterday, (neglected to take the details due to anger), she told me that it will clear Saturday evening - which means availability is Sunday morning. How does the 7 business day rule then apply? I phoned again this morning and they said two more days. I can't understand why it is taking so long?
It is already a struggle to keep your business a float these days. The fact that my bank is holding back money that belongs to me - just makes matters worse.
It is becoming more and more evident that I should've stayed with the bank I initially started out with.
