How bad can service get?!

Someone drove into us on 28/2/2013, we immediately reported the claim to Santam and did everything required to speed up the process. Now 3 weeks later our car is still not repaired, despite various follow-ups with both Santam and the panel beaters. We pay our monthly fees every month but now on the rare occasion we need service in return, it is lacking. According to the panel beaters they were only authorised on 18/3/2013 to repair our vehicle while the assessor assessed and approved the repairs respectively on 6&7/3/2013 (according to Santam). Why I am i the one who has to follow up all he time to get things done?! Now car hire (included in our policy) also seems to be a problem and we need to pay this & that & the other thing to the car hire company - NO I REFUSE, this is what we pay Santam for every month! One Helena (attending to our claim while one Laurika was off sick) did not arrange the car on 19/3/2013 as she said she would - here I sit another a day later I still awaiting her callback to confirm the car hire has been arranged, so once again I had to follow up. It's easy to collect the monthly fees only to render a substandard service in return, right Santam?
