Igot a rude awakening whilst I was spring cleaning my letters and opened up my statements for my vehicle finance with Standard Bank.

I normally dont open up statements (and what a lesson I learnt for not doing this menial task) because I know that the debit order has gone through my account every month.

I was being charged a Top up cover and a Credit Life, both totallying to -R900 every month from June 2012.
I immediately phoned the call centre who kept on transferring me to different people. I then requested a copy of my contract which I see I clearly signed where it states "i decline this offer" for the Top up. As for the Credit Life I have no idea why I was being charged. I have been trying to sort this out from the 2nd Jan and have not received a single response to my phonecalls or emails. I even emailed a copy of the contract i received to a person by the name of Chadreque Sylvia and to [Email Removed] and still no response.

I think this is unacceptable and a disgrace for a bank. What does a customer have to do to get a response and to get her hard earned money back from an institute that she trusted but has let her down.
