Prestige vs Private

I earn a decent salary, but also have a lot of debt. After increasing my overdraft, I was contacted by Std Bank to switch my account from prestige to private banking. I was told all the nice things about having a private banking account. I decided to do it and pay the extra R120 per month for the account. The first interaction with the staff was great :). After a couple of months I needed some help, but was told the credit manager feels I am overexposed and I couldn't be helped. I am not unhappy that they couldn't help, I am unhappy that they are taking an extra R120 per month from me and did not consider that with my "overexposed" status. I think it is all about getting the clients and their fixed monthly fee. I recon Standard bank is happier taking R285 per month from me than the R169 I used to pay.
