First Equity
Epudiate a claim

Business & Finance

My car keys got damaged in the ignition barrel
both keys are damaged and 1 of the keys do not even go into the ignition.
i submitted a claim to first equity on the 16th of January to my insurance broker.
the follow day i did a follow up on for my broker to as me how it happened and required me to fill in a claim form which i subsequently completed. i did a follow up on the 23rd of Jan and the broker asked me to claim how the keys were damaged AGAIN, which i subsequently did. on the 25th of January i followed up again and was told on the 28th that the damage to my key was due to normal wear and tear and is not covered under the policy.
on the 6th of February i sent pictures of the damaged key to the broker.
on the 14th i was asked to get a quote for the key only and not for the barrel. the insurer paid for 1 key on on the 25th of feb and had to request for the 2nd key to be paid which was only done on the 8th of march

not once did the broker ever get back to me with regards to the claim i was had to do a follow up.
i feel they have not represented my best interests as the value of the keys is much less the the value of the damage and i am within my policy limit
