There was an armed at my house and part of what was was the all car keys for my Hilux bakkie, I mean all 3 sets of keys, I was advised by PSG (Ellen) to have the car towed to the nearest dealership, pay for the repairs and would be reimbursed by the insurance (PSG) with the household contents payout. I spent R15000 to replace the locking device in the car to be able to get new keys, but the insurer (PSG) wants to give me R2500 as a payout for the claim, How ridiculous is that? The claims manager says I was supposed to insure keys as a separate specified item in my policy then I would be payed full amount, I have confirmed again this morning with the lady who helped with my signing up with the insurer, she says the key replacement is covered under the car insurance, an in my case it should be looked in another way. I feel like I'm not insured even if I'm paying a premium every month. please advice I don't know what else to do.
