First National Bank
Confidential info shared with 3rd party

Business & Finance

I gave my old cellphone away close to 3 years ago, and changed my nr with FNB to my new number, to which I received all my sms's. Last year I found out that the sms's are also sent to the old nr. I logged it on various occasions in 2012, to no avail. Nov 2012 I logged it AGAIN - it is after all ILLEGAL to share my confidential account info with a 3rd party. I was assured (AGAIN) that my old nr is nowhere on my account, and the 3rd party wont get any more sms's. At the same time, the sms's to my own number stopped. At least I figured that the other person wont get my sms's anymore... Until last Friday. Once again my transfer and balance sms was sent not to me, but the 3rd party. I phoned this morning to log it, frustrated that my confidential info is being shared again. I first spoke to Ryan, who transferred me after my story. Then to Silo, who transferred me. Then to Nicole - who said that again its the incorrect department, but she'll get the right people to phone me - that was before 8:30 this morning. Still no phone call. Should I take legal steps in this regard? What do I need to do to get FNB to STOP sharing confidential info with a 3rd party without my consent?
