My husband has a personal loan with Absa bank for a car he purchased. I spoke to a lady by the name of Mary who was very rude with no people skills.

I explained to her that he was retrenched and never got a pay out. I then requested that she give me banking details so that i can make some sort of payment arrangement for the loan to be completed. She then informed me that she cannot assist me as i am a 3rd party. I told her that i do not want to know the outstanding amount nor what is still owed to them, i just want banking details so that the loan can be completed and she dropped the call in my ear.

I cannot seem to understand why she did not want to give me the banking details, it seem as if they want him to be in arrears and his account to be affected. guess they do not need any cash.

We never received any letters since December 2012stating that he is in arrears. I informed them that he tried calling them before however his airtime cuts. i then asked them to contact him and i was told "we are inbound"

If this is the type of service you guys give your client, you will not go places that for sure, as i came i client service agent myself and that is not the way we do things.
