My complaint is not against FNB in general, but more specific against their home loans division. It is very difficult to communicate with this section via their preferred manner, e-mail. Firstly they do not action what they said they would, they do not inform you right from the start what the correct procedure is, and they simply do not call you if requested. You also can't call them and you can't speak to a supervisor on request and their first contact has no authority to make decisions. I must admit I sent them an irate mail, might be why they are ignoring me. The home loans division unfortunately has become a robotic, faceless back office operation with no consideration for unique client needs, a far cry from their "How can we help you" advertising campaign. This is the second time that I had a bad experience with this division, and also my second interaction with them, so it's two out of two. But you know how it works, once you have signed, they have you and will treat you as a number and I am learning from my mistake. I simply can't recommend them.
