On 28/02 we were held up @ gunpoint in my home & robbed of several assets including my car. After reporting the incident to the SAPS (brilliant service!), I called Outsurance (OT) to register the claim & then the real trauma began. I spoke to Sixolile Mabaso, who was incompetent. Since 28/02 I called many times & was mis-advised on the processes & got empty promises to keep me informed. When I finally got a list of the items that I had reported, there were items listed that I didn't claim & other items reported were missing from the claim! I have been messed around by the employed by OT.After claiming, with many questions, an independent assessor is sent to my home who then gives us the 3rd Degree regarding all the items-making us feel like criminals, having to prove that you owned an item-not asked at the time of the policy starting. Apart from the trauma & stress caused by the itself, dealing with the OT claims team has been more traumatic. I feel like I'm being robbed all over again! When raising my concerns to the team leader, I have received no response. This tells me that poor service is tolerated & even rewarded at OT.Stay away from OT if you value your money & your sanity!
