After failing to receive a phone call that was promised in order to arrange blood tests for the life insurance I was applying for, I decided to terminate the cover, concerned that if I receive poor service while I'm still alive what kind of service will my beneficiaries receive.
I contacted [URL Removed] following the first debit and notified them of my intent to terminate my cover with immediate effect. I gave them the reasons of my intended termination and they requested that I send them an email to record this and the cover would be terminated immediately - I sent the requested email within minutes.
On the following month's debit date, I was notified of the debit order by [URL Removed] Again, I called to inquire only to be told that my request for termination was indeed received telephonically and the name of the gentleman that received it as well as the reasons for the cancellation recorded, but the policies were still active and it was claimed that the email was not receive when I received confirmation of receipt within minutes of having sent the email. The lady said she would investigate and call me back. Nothing happened.
Called again today and the policies were still active.
