I resigned December time, 3 weeks back Sharon informed me my pension payment has rejected due to incorrect account number that was furnished by FirstRand HR. Good enough, I provided her with the correct one and emailed her my bank statement to verify it. To my surprise, 3 weeks has past and no pension payment has been processed to my account. When I called in a day before yesterday after sending emails, I was told by another staff member that they don't understand what's happening on my pension processing, so I was told to call Sharon. I called and left her the message, but she never bothered to call me. Yesterday, when I finally managed to get hold of her. She gave me different figures from the ones she gave me initially. When I asked her about the payment process she told me it was going to be paid same day at 14:00 and I should be having my money by 15:00. The time has past, but nothing happened. Since my money is a lump sum sitting in their account, is she or Metropolitan going to pay in the amount with interest from the day I submitted the right account number? If they can process online why did it take 3 weeks more to process after it rejected? I should have invested already.
