I am so disappointed and fed up with Standard bank. Since my previous post on Fri 21 Dec, I have had nothing but running around, being send from pillar to post and... nothing. I have still NOT received my outstanding "retaining" amount of R30000 which was supposed to pay my debt as the bond was taken out as "debt consolidation". After many E-mails I finally got a answer from Sonto Maseko, Liaison Officer, Credit Customer Assist telling me that I need to apply at home loans for the retention. What a mission. Every time you phone the call centre, someone else answers and then you get a different response as to why the funds cannot be paid out. It seems that any reason is good enough. A The call centre can never give you a exact reason and tells you that someone will call you. That never happens either. I have been with Standard bank for 20 years, and this is not the first bond I have with them. This is just the first time that there is a no care attitude.
