Disgusting service on opening a new account

I opened an account at Capitec and was given a debit card. I tried to use the card at a few different shops and it kept saying "invalid pin". I went into the branch and they said there was nothing wrong with the card and if I really wanted a new card, I could pay R35 and buy one! They sent me away to try using the card again. It still wouldn't work. I went to the branch a second time, to be told - we have tested the card - nothing wrong with it. Third time I tried to use the card - still wouldn't work. Third visit to the branch (35kms from where I live) to be told - let's try and re-set the pin. I got CHARGED to re-set the pin (albeit only R3) when I was issued a faulty card from the get-go! I sent in a complaint, and received a phone call from the client service centre to apologize for any inconvenience. I asked if I would be refunded the re-set fee and he said - no - sorry. So I said "How can you give me a faulty card and then charge me"? He said sorry for the inconvenience, but we can't refund you the re-set fee. I now regret having opened an account with Capitec - what a disgraceful service!
