I went to meeting with one of Standard Bank's 'Business Bankers' regarding a sml business loan, to start with the one had to call the other because she openly admitted she didn't have much knowledge.
My business is really not very complicated, after explaining everything in great detail they said they should be able to help and will give me an answer within 48 hours.
Well after 72 business hours I decided to go see them again. When she finally came to meet me, she started giving me a run down of the progress while walking down the passage, not even bothering to wait until we get into the office, her whole attitude was very patronizing. She made me feel like I was wasting her time with my small business.
After again promising to contact me the next day with an update, Jane once again never bothered to phone or email. 4 working days later I went to see her for the 3rd time, with NO status update, only excuses about Standard Banks Internal system that changed. I said that she never required an internal system to contact me to give ANY progress. She assured me that they never take so long if the outcome is bad, yet now almost 2 weeks later they declined it. Total disappointment
