Charged R20 per page for bank statements!

I've been banking with Standard Bank for 20 years. This morning I asked for 8 missing bank statements to be emailed to me for tax purposes. I was told this was going to cost in excess of R1500! When I asked a supervisor for this amount to be justified she became sarcastic and patronizing. She asked me: "what did you do with the bank statements we sent you in the post? " I think. Is absolutely ludicrous that it costs R20 per page to type in my details to a computer and push send!
