Im trying to apply to Standard bank for vehicle asset finance and have the misfortune of dealing with Jury Steyn who does not seem to be interested in assisting me and gives me attitude when im trying to negotiate a deal.

I asked for a deal with a 20% r/v which was initially put on the quote. When I asked for the term of the repayment to be amended, he removed the 20% r/v stating that he was informed that he cant do a 20% r/v on the model of car im buying. He does not offer any further explanation, nor hands the matter to his superiors as I requested.
I have multiple accounts with this bank and have been a customer for more than 10 years.

Standard bank, please dont allow your client facing staff to push your customers to your competitors.
