No Sympathy

About a year ago I was retrenched, and after contacting MFC and laying forward my situation, they were accomodating.

Up until now the 1st February 2013 I was struggling to get work and did freelance and odd jobs just to be able to pay the car payments and also used whatever provident and UIF payouts I got to do this.

On the 13th February, my vehicle was taken away and I expained that I was struggling and have now eventually found a Permanent Work, I was told to pay the outstanding amount right there on the spot outside my new workplace infront of my new colleagues.

Failing that, they were going to take my car and had no sympathy whatsoever. If I had the cash there and then, then I wouldnt have been a little behind with payments...

I now have to find that cash plus legal fees before I may get the vehicle back which I need for work everyday.

I just feel that they are quick to sign you up for finance, but also even quicker to re-posses the vehicles when you are atleast trying not to break contract and do anything just to be able to pay for the vehicle.

Now my partner and child have to suffer through this aswell...
