We lodged a claim for a damaged cellphone which was bought at Truworths Clear Water branch. Documentation were faxed on Saturday (5 Jan) to formal lodge the claim. On Monday, I made a follow up to determine how far the process was, I was told that the person (Teresa Barnard) handling the claim is on leave on Monday (7 Jan) so no one will attend to my claim till Tuesday. Meaning one day was lost in the process. Tuesday, I sent an email and left a message for the person handling the claim to call me and advise about the status of the case, this did not happen. I then escalated the matter to Rebecca who is a Team Leader, she took my details and promised to come back to me, this did not happen. Instead, I got a call from the very same person (Teresa) who failed to assist me. Wednesday, I again escalated the matter to another team leader, George. He told me to make payment, excess, and the claim will then be processed. I made the payment and faxed proof of payment.
George made an undertaking to ensure that the damaged phone is collected from my wife in central JHB. Four days later, still no phone. Courier service will only collect the phone NEXT WEEK MONDAY. Poor service @ its best
