Claim cancelled because of incompetency

My cellphone was lost in a taxi on the 20 May 2013, and went to Truworths as i had bought the phone there, and advised me to block the simcard and phone at MTN, and made an Affidavit at Police. I blocked the sim and phone and made affidavits.
I went back to Truworths and they faxed Finrite claim papers and affidavits. They said I'll get a feedback after 4 days. I went there again after a week and they faxed them again as Finrite could not trace the papers on the system. I then wait for 5 days again and went back and i was told we were using a wrong fax number.

Truworths faxed again and after 7 days, i called Finrite as they did not call me, my information was picked up on the system (by Yvonne), and was told to pay 10% excess of the cellphone which was R232-00 (by her Superior Lerato), and was told after 4 working days I'll get a call as to where to collect my new cell.

5 days passed and when i called i was assisted by a lady called Nicolene Mulber, that my claim cannot be processed as I don't have a police case number. I told her my phone was not but lost, she said there is nothing they can do.
