I am deeply dissapointed with ABSA insurance company. My building is insured with them (I also happen to be a private bank client). I registered a broken boundary glass door claim on 28 Jan. I was told someone would contact me in 48 hours to arrange repair. I complained: it isnt safe to have a broken open door for 48 hours. I was told the problem would be escalated & I would be called back. No-one called. 6 days later I received an sms saying the case had been registered with pg glass/glassfit & that I would be contacted by them. I was not contacted. 2 days later I called several times to speak to the person who 'approved' the claim. I struggled to reach her. I eventually threatened to cancel my policy. The call-centre agent walked to her office and got her on the line with me. She told me that the delay was because of the glass companies (-the glass companies have since denied that). Duduzile told me to have the door fixed and that she would approve reimbursement. Despite 2 emails and calls, I am still struggling to reach her.
